Thinking of You #GDP081

Thinking of You #GDP081

Thinking of You card that I make for a Sympathy Card for a Club Member of mine.  I also used the colors for this weeks #GDP081 which was to use Night of Navy, Whisper White and any other color of your choice.  I used Old Olive which works great with what I was doing.

Supplies for this card are:

  1. Stampin’ Up! Whisper White for the Base card  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score at 4 1/4, then cut another piece of white for your mat Color that you will stamp on  3 3/4 x 5
  2. Use Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy for the in-between layer.
  3. Stamp the Tree from Stampin’ Up! Thoughts and Prayers in Old Olive Stampin’ UP! Ink Pad
  4. Stamp the words you would like in Night of Navy of a piece of scrap whisper white card stock and using the Layering Square Framelit cut out the square piece, then with a scrap piece of Night of Navy, use the next size up using a scallop Framelit. Attach these together and adhere to the bottom right corner of your card
  5. I used the Tree Builder Punch Flower for the Night of Navy flowers for the tree and a couple on the bottom.
  6. Added Basic Pearls to the flowers.

A lot of White for this Card which I don’t usually like, but I think it works great on this layout.

Get Well Wishes GDP074

Another Card I created using a Global Design project layout.  I find it so easy to use a design already created then i just put my own colors, papers, stamps, etc and come up with a completely different card.     Here’s the image that I copied.

This card can be any greeting you would like.  That’s what I like about it…any occasion.

Supplies I used are all from our Stampin’ Up! Catalogs

  1. Base Card is a 8 1/2 x 11  piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock cut in half to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 folder
  2. Next layer is piece of Sahara Sand Card Stock  5 1/4 x 4
  3. Top layer is our Blooms & Bliss Designer Series paper  5 x 3 3/4
  4. Next is the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  I cut that piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock to 2 x 3.  This size fits perfectly in the Topper Punch.
  5. Layer that with Whisper White Card Stock using Layering Ovals Framelits.  I sponged around the edged with Rich Razzleberry ink to give it some depth. Then attach to Topper Punch piece
  6. Now for that gorgeous Butterfly.  I stamped the butterfly using a stamp from Stampin’ Up!s Papillon Popourri Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry and then immediately covered with Clear Embossing Powder and heated with my heating tool.  Probably does not show too well on Card but this gives the butterfly a nice shiny look.   Punch that out with Stampin’Up!s Elegant Butterfly punch.  To finish the butterfly, I added some Rhinestones colors with a permanent marker.
  7. Finish this off by wrapping some Gold Meallic Thread around fingers, till you get a few strands then using a glue dot attach to your oval white piece.  Then place the butterfly on top with a Stampin’ Up! dimensional.
  8. Now just stamp your greeting on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Rich Razzleberry ink and punch out with the Classic Label Punch.

Now for images of the products I used.  Just clink on the item # and you will go directly to my online store to see images.

Any question, please contact me at or just reply to this post

Please share with friends if you liked my card.    You can also Shop anytime 24/7 if you need to order something

Jar of Love Falling Flowers

Flowery Card that could be used for any occasion.  I used Stampin’ UP! JAR OF LOVE Stamp Set.  Global Design Project Challenge GDP#049 was to use colors: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamigo which I have incorporated in my card.   The flowers were real easy, a little stamping and I used the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits that goes with the Jar of Love Stamp Set. For the little darker pink on the flowers, I used the Sweet Sugarplum Ink.   Nice, simple and easy to make card.

Assembling the Card:

  1. Card Base is Stampin’ UP! Soft Suede cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 then score at 4 1/4
  2. Layer is with Stampin’ UP! Daffodil Delight sized at 5 1/4 x 4
  3. Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla Cardstock was used for the next layer.   5 x 3 3/4
  4. Stamp the jar first with Soft Suede, then stamp the stems with Pear Pizzazz.  I used Sky Blue and an Aqua Painter to color in the water in the jar.
  5. All my flowers were created first by stamping the image, then using the framlet and Big Shot I cut them out.  Some I attached with a glue dot, others with a dimensional.
  6. The cover to the jar was stamped with Smokey Slate and then cut out with the framelet and Big shot.
  7. Stamp a word or saying at the bottom right with Flirty Flamigo or any other the other colors in the Card.
  8. I also added a couple of our Basic Pearls…like the look

Balloon Celebration #GDP048

Balloon Celebration #GDP48

Love the way this card came out.   I used the layout, stamps and punches from the Global Design Project post this week.   The challenge was to Case the Designer anything you’d like from the card posted.  As you can see, I copied just about all of it.

Measurements and instructions for Card

  1. Base Card, Dapper Denim Cardstock, is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, then score at 4 1/4
  2. Smoky Slate Card Stock, 5 x 2 3/4
  3. Watercolor Paper (you can use Very Vanilla instead) 5 x 2 1/4
  4. Stamp Balloons from Stampin’ UP! Balloon Celebration Stamp Set on scrap watercolor paper or very vanilla cardstock using Dapper Denim, Rich Razzleberry and Smoky Slate
  5. Punch out using Stampin’ UP! Balloon Bouquet Punch
  6. Stamp the strings, a greeting on your Watercolor paper and adhere the balloons with either glue dots or deminsionals.  I also stamped a Smoky Slate Balloon directionly on my Watercolor Paper.
  7. After I postioned my layers on the Base Card, I decided to add the string to both sides as that part of the card looked a little naked.   I liked that effect..
  8. Tie a bow using Stampin’ UP! 3/8 Ruched Ribbon in Dapper Denim and attach with glue dot

Supplies for this card

I had used the watercolor paper because I was going to do some highlighting around the edge but decided not to as I felt it would make the card too busy.

Hope you enjoyed this card.    As always, please post comments and questions and I’ll get back to you.

Don’t forget you can always Shop On Line 24/7.    Top right of this post also has the new Stamp Set Thoughtful Branches that is only good until 08-31-16.  Great set..check it out

Have a great day   Eileen

Thoughtful Banners #GDP046

Thoughtful Banners #GDP046

Now how easy, bright and cheery is this card.  I created this for a Global Design Project Sketch Challenge.  Love the Stampin’ UP! Daffodil Delight which coordinates just great with the Stampin’ Up! Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. Love how Stampin’ Up! Coordinates all their colors with Designer paper, emblishments, etc.  So easy to use….no struggles with color combinations that’s for sure.

This  is the Global Design Layout Sketch Challenge for this week.

As you can see, I pretty much copied it with just a couple of changes.  No wasted time for me to come up with a design, they have created one for me.  Love it!

  1. Base Card is Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wonder Cardstock.  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  2. Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series paper is cut at 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 and then adhere that piece to your Base Card using Snail Adhesive.
  3. On some scrap Daffodil Delight Cardstock,  using the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set, stamp the images for You Are and Inspiring   (or whatever words you would like).   I first stamped the labels with Night of Navy, then I stamped my words in center.    Using Clear stamps makes it so easy to get you images stamped straight in the smallest of places.
  4. Now punch these out using Stampin’ Up! Duet Banner punch that coordinates with the label stamps.   On the top of the card, you can see that I punched out another label with out the stamp and adhered that to top for a place to place my hearts.
  5. The hearts came from the Owl Punch and I adhered those with Mini Glue Dots plus I added some of our Basic Pearl Jewels

Papillon Potpourri GDP#045

Papillon Potpourri GDP#045

Color Challenge for GDP#045 using Black, Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo.   Great color combination and really simple card to make.

  1. Cut Stampin’ UP! Black Cardstock  8 1/2 x 11 in half and then fold….this is your black card base. Cut a piece of Stampin’ UP! Melon Mambo 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to your Base using Mono Adhesive. Cut a piece of Stampin’ UP! Smoky Slate 3 3/4 x 5 and this is the piece we will stamp on.
  2. Using the swirly image from Stampin’ UP! Tin of Cards, stamp the sides and top of the Smoky Slate Card Stock.
  3. Hard to see but I clear embossed the Words Thank You from the Stamp Set Tin of Cards.  To do this, I stamped using Black Staz On Ink, then added Clear Embossing Powder and used my Heat Tool until the Black dried and gave it the shinny image.
  4. Next on a piece of Whisper White Scrap Cardstock, I did the same process, clear embossing, only using Stampin’ UP! Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set.
  5. Then colored these using a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.    (I used the same technique in the Petite Pedals Card Posted on 07/17/16.
  6. I then stamped the image on my Smoky Slate Cardstock and put the finished butterflies on with dimensional

Balloon Celebration #GDP043 Party

Balloon Celebration #GDP043

Like Owls?  I do!   I created this card for the GDP043 challenge which was Party plus the ladies  at my Stampin’ UP! Club today did the card also.   The ladies loved the card so thought you would also.

Simple directions below

  1. Cut a piece of Whisper White Stampin ‘ UP! Cardstock 5 1/2 by 8 1/4, then fold in half.  Cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry Cardstock   5 1/4 x 4.  Now cut 2 pieces of Stampin’Up! Whisper White Cardstock   5 x 3 3/4.  One for outside and one for inside of your card.
  2. On one of the pieces of Whisper White Cardstock using Stampin’ UP! Balloon Celebration stamp set, I stamped at an angle the strings for the balloons with Memento Black.
  3. Then I stamped directly on the Whisper White  (line up with string) using the same set, Balloon Celebration, two large balloons, one in Cajun Craze then other Dapper Denim.
  4. Next, using some scrap pieces of Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped three small balloons with Crushed Curry Ink.  Then using the stamp with dots, I stamps over these with Dapper Denim Ink and Cajun Craze Ink. Punch these out using Stampin’ Up!s Balloon Bouquet Punch.    (This punch coordinates with the Balloon Celebration)  Layer these smaller balloons on your card using dimensional to raise a couple of them up for dimension.
  5. On the bottom left side, stamp whatever saying you’d like.  I used the one from the set, then I added the ‘(and eat cake) and put that over the and drink with a dimensional.
  6. Now for the cute owl.  Owl is easy because we have a punch called the Owl Builder.   I used Stampin’ UP! Soft Suede Cardstock for the body and a small part of the eyes.   The dress is from Stampin’ UP!s Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.    The design is on the Owl Builder Punch.  Use a little Whisper White for the larger portion of the eyes and then I had purchased the goggley eyes at our local craft store.  I then added the owl to the card, laying it over the strings, using a dimensional.
  7. Done, stamp your inside with a greeting or just use a balloon or two.   I also put a balloon on my envelope.

Heartfelt Sympathy #GDP042

Heartfelt Sympathy#GDP042

Hi Stampers,

I did this project for the #GDP042 which was a design/layout project.  I needed a Sympathy Card for a friend of mine so this was a great opportunity for me to make one.

I used the new embossing folder, Stampin’ UP!s Floral Affection  Love it on the bottom of the card to give the background, Wisteria Wonder Cardstock some texture.  I used our Circle Framelits to stamp on with a small piece of Pink Pirquette, punched out a heart using our Sweetheart Punch and added some Basic Pearls to the embossed image on the bottom.

Card Stock I used was Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirquette.  For me, that is a  nice color combination.  Stamp Set I used is not new but a very useful set for a time like this. Heartfelt Sympathy…love the printing and small but delicate flowers and stems

Supplies can be purchased by clicking on the links below or just go to he link to get a good look at the images.

Vertical Greetings #GDP041

Vertical Greetings #GDP041

Another Global Design Project which this time was with Colors:  White, Night of Navy and Sweet Sugarplum.  What a great color combination.

As you can see, I used the same Stamp Set, Vertical Greetings, that I used the other day.  Just love that set.  I think I’ll save this card for my next Club in July…the girls are going to love this color combination.

Card base is the typical 8 1/2 x 11 cut in half, then folded.   The Night of Navy on the side is 4 x 1 1/2 and the Sweet Sugarplum is 4 x 5 1/4.  The small Whisper White piece on top with greeting is 4 x 2.

Using Swirly Bird Stamp Set, I stamped all over the Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock with Sweet Sugarplum from Ink Pad.  I then ran the Night of Navy piece through Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot   (hard to see on image).  Then assembled this portion of the card.

Next, I used the Swirly Scribbles  Dies to cut out my images. The middle sized swirly in Sweet Sugarplum and then the long on in Night of Navy.  You can add the Night of Navy now, but I’d wait on the Sweet Sugarplum swirly until you get the greeting completed.

To finish off the card, I stamped Thank You from the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set on the lower left side of the  Whisper White Cardstock.  Using a marker, I colored directly on the stamp from Vertical Greetings, (there are three flowers with pots so pick the one you like best)  For the flowers, I used Sweet Sugarplum, Garden Green for the stem and then Night of Navy for the Pot.  I also used a dauber and my Sweet Sugarplum ink Pad and colored around the edges .

Assemble by sliding the Swirly under and over the Whisper White Card Stock using a little bit of the Fine Tip Glue.   I adhered the Whisper White with dimensional to give the piece a little more dimension.

You’ve Got This #GDP040

Youve got this

Another Global Design Project #GDP040 This weeks challenge was to take something from the posted card that you liked and create your own card.  I really loved the highlighting around the flowers so that is what I choose.

I used Black Stazon ink on Stampin’ Up! Shimmery White Cardstock so I could easily watercolor without smugging my card. When the Black Stazon Ink dries, there are no issues with getting it wet  The stamp set is You’ve Got This.  I love this set and was so glad Stampin’ Up!  carried it over from last year’s catalog

Some needed supplies to complete this card.  If you would like a complete project list, please let me know and I’ll get a PDF file to you.

You’ve Got This Stamp Set      also coming in Wood Mount

Shimmer White Cardstock

Aqua Painters

Black Stazon

and then some of our fabulous     New In Colors
