Celebrate You Shaker Card and Petite Pedals using other side of Designer Serier Paper

These two cards I created for my Stampin’ UP! Monthly Club so the ladies would be able to use their cut out oval for another card.   The cards we made in class was of the same Designer Series   Blooms & Bliss by Stampin’ UP! only using different colors.

White Embossed Butterfly

This was the Butterfly I put on my first card with club.  To get the butterfly image, in any color.

  1. Stamp the butterfly with Versamark Ink on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock
  2. Poor white embossing powder over image
  3. Using Heat Tool, heat the embossed image until all embossing power is dry and you get a shiny affect.
  4. Using a Stampin’ Write Marker, color over the butterfly image and then wipe with a tissue or paper towel.  Punch out and adhere to your card with a glue dot or dimensional

Hope you enjoy these cards.  Please send me questions or comments.

Vertical Greetings #GDP041

Vertical Greetings #GDP041

Another Global Design Project which this time was with Colors:  White, Night of Navy and Sweet Sugarplum.  What a great color combination.

As you can see, I used the same Stamp Set, Vertical Greetings, that I used the other day.  Just love that set.  I think I’ll save this card for my next Club in July…the girls are going to love this color combination.

Card base is the typical 8 1/2 x 11 cut in half, then folded.   The Night of Navy on the side is 4 x 1 1/2 and the Sweet Sugarplum is 4 x 5 1/4.  The small Whisper White piece on top with greeting is 4 x 2.

Using Swirly Bird Stamp Set, I stamped all over the Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock with Sweet Sugarplum from Ink Pad.  I then ran the Night of Navy piece through Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot   (hard to see on image).  Then assembled this portion of the card.

Next, I used the Swirly Scribbles  Dies to cut out my images. The middle sized swirly in Sweet Sugarplum and then the long on in Night of Navy.  You can add the Night of Navy now, but I’d wait on the Sweet Sugarplum swirly until you get the greeting completed.

To finish off the card, I stamped Thank You from the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set on the lower left side of the  Whisper White Cardstock.  Using a marker, I colored directly on the stamp from Vertical Greetings, (there are three flowers with pots so pick the one you like best)  For the flowers, I used Sweet Sugarplum, Garden Green for the stem and then Night of Navy for the Pot.  I also used a dauber and my Sweet Sugarplum ink Pad and colored around the edges .

Assemble by sliding the Swirly under and over the Whisper White Card Stock using a little bit of the Fine Tip Glue.   I adhered the Whisper White with dimensional to give the piece a little more dimension.

Vertical Greetings

Vertical Greetings

I just love this set.  When I first started stamping some 10 or so years ago, there was card she, my now upline Caroline Susi, demonstrated and I just loved it.   Each year when the new catalog comes out, I look for a vertical stamp set.  Finally this year, it is here!

To place my vertical image on the side, I just cut the card to 1 1/2″ smaller. So it would be 4 1/4 by 9 1/2 then score at 5 1/2.  For the coloring on the flowers and pot, I used markers Garden Green, Black and then one of Stampin’ Up! new in colors, Peekaboo Peach.  Then on the flowers, I used a dauber and the Sweet Sugarplum In color pad and stamp just a little around the flower to give it some dimension.

Please let me know if you need other directions and I’ll forward a project list.
